I just bought this Tackform mount. It’s the strongest grip model they make, the Enduro 20 MAXX. I like that the long arm can be made into a short arm, and it mounts to the bars for better adjustability (and it doesn’t strip the perch bolts!). And it has vibration dampening.

Just got back from a 550 mile trip with the wife, her on her 883low and me on my Road King. Both have Tackform and no band around phone just he spring loaded mount holding on. We road on some gravel, 10 miles that was a bit rough in spots and a couple stretches of highway that were pretty rough. Both performed well, no issue, no movement no readjustments needed. I never had to worry about it.
