Default Chrome trim vs Black trim resale value

This may be the year I upgrade my 2013 ultra to a 2023/25 ultra limited.
So, just courious about the resale used market. Do they sell more touring bikes with black trim vs the chrome?
Is there more black trim buyers vs the chrome when it's resale time?
Is it because HD pushes the black trim? The upgraded paint for the 2025's in the touring bikes you have to select black trim except the mystic.

Are you buying the next machine for someone else or for YOU? What do YOU want to live with for the next 10 plus years (if you keep the new one as long as you have kept your current machine).? No one can predict with certainty if chrome or black will be more popular in 10 years. It might be worth asking those who have owned both choices, which one is easier to keep looking good over the long term and how much work you want to do to keep one looking like new.

True buy what you like and not for the next guy.
2 hrs from me a dealer has two new 2023’s one is chrome trim the other is black trim.
I don’t plan for this to be my last HD, so that’s why I was curious about today’s market.
i know we have a few in here that like to buy and resale. I only wanted to know what the market trend were.
its not going to alter what I choose to buy in the end.
i would have to get a huge discount to buy a 2 year old new bike.

But what you like. When it's time to sell, there will someone out there who likes it too.

Buy the one you like. This will have little to no significance when you go to sell, but wishing you had got the one you really wanted, will sting the whole time you have it.

I’d pay more for a chrome trimmed bike.

If you look at the Day-Tripper accessory package for the '24 SG it is $627 black and $687 chrome. Makes sense to me. Painting metal black is cheaper than chrome plating it. What doesn't make sense is charging $1350. extra for a new bike with a lot of black painted parts. 💀

Chrome for me but we just bought a black/black heritage for the wife. Personal preference, I wouldn't worry about how it may/may not affect the resale value.
