BRIGHT ASS HEADLIGHT ?
Back in the day, for both my Road King and for my Pop's Ultra Classic we upgraded to the ORIGINAL Harley Daymaker series lights for the Headlamp...as well as Passing Lamps. They are very bright, and were a significant improvement over the OEM incandescent bulbs (as well as any aftermarket Halogen bulbs).
They were stupid expensive - especially when compared to the prices you can get for replacements nowadays on Amazon & such.
My opinion - the ORIGINAL H-D Daymaker lights are, without question, the best looking light that has been offered. 2nd Generation Daymakers introduced the 'projector lenses', and in my opinion looked too 'futuristic' and like a 'robot face' to be installed on a bike bike that otherwise looked traditional/classic.
As aesthetic preference is subjective...my opinion is obviously wrong...because pretty much every Headlight available now has that multi-lens, LED, 'robot' appearance - and that's apparently what people want to buy. Just look at all the pics that have been shared in this thread...none of them look 'classic'.
Anyway...that's just my opinion. The newest version of the 7" Daymaker has a bit more of a traditional look...but still doesn't really have the same vibe as the 1st generation.
Example of the original. They're pretty much impossible to find any more:

I've been reading and learning and following this thread in an effort to get better lighting on my 2023 RKS. I've followed the links to check out the options some have installed and look at what's available today.
As luck would have it, (bad luck that is) I've found a device I want to install on my RKS. It's an All on, or Both on, or some other gimmicky name for having the low beam stay on in high beam mode.
I want to install this on the stock light system found in a 2023 RKS. I haven't been able to find one, yet. The ones I find a part of an adapter to connect the HD 4 pin connector to a 3 blade connector (think old sealed beams). Or to convert the connection to Halogen style bulb plugs.
So, does anyone know who sells a device that keeps the low beam on while the high beam is engaged? I.E Both on or All on. Do I need to build one myself? Is the a build thread for that?
I just thought of a question I should ask round about here. Has anyone added the 'both on" option to the stock HD headlight system and liked it?
Thanks
