Me personally, I would leave that ACC switch alone and use the ACC plug for other things. I would probably find a place for the momentary button. Some install these mid-frame air deflectors and install the button on that.
I'm trying to do this with minimal changes so it could be reversed easily - literally, unplug things and put back the toggle switch.
This is kind of unrelated already but my dilemma is whether to use the remote control battery or the bike's current to power it. The downside of using the accessory switch power is that the bike's ignition switch has to be on. The plus is that I'll never need a battery but these batteries last good 10-20 years
