I'd go with the new one. As before, new bike & has warranty.

Hands down, it's the new one. The '08 has:
96"= $1500
6 Speed= $2500
Brembo Brakes= $1500
New Warranty = ++++ intangible.
I would add WHATEVER the cost for the 08 to have ABS.

96"----Used with BB takes care of that
6 Speed---Who really "needs" it
Brembo Brakes----ones on my 05 do just fine
New Warranty----whatever.....
