There are a few used E Glide Standards around with low miles. I know I can get one for $15k. A new E Glide Standard is ~$19k out the door. Is the new motor and 6 speed worth $4k? Your input would be appreciated. Jon
..you can get a used bike with warranty..takes about 3 minutes to transfer warranty and your good to go. Bikes depreciate most in first coupla years, buying used someone else takes that hit. I would never buy new.. too many used, extremely low milage bikes available with upgrades already installed, Stage 1, seats, tourpacks etc. How "worn" did you think your bike was at 1000-4000 miles.

05 was a good year, but some had leaky valve seals. The new one would have a 6sp, & be 96" plus a few other tidbits....
$4k will buy plenty of goods on an 05. You could do a really sweet HQ motor build and buy a Baker DD6..... You'd have an 05 that would SPANK an 07/08 all day long and still have a few bux in your pocket!
My vote would be..no..it's not worth 4k. I've ridden 07's...my 05Stage 1 equals stock 96" power, and 6th gear is no big deal...I rode side-by-side with my buddie Sunday from south of Boston-to-Laconia and back(friggin beautiful weather Sunday was), he on his 07 E-Glide, me on my 05, so he's 300 rpm lower at 80 or so, so what...who cares, I sure wouldn't...you could find a low mile Standard for 14k with pipes and goodies and be 5k ahead...
