Default What next?

I have a 99' Ultra I bought used in September. It had a SE filter and download on it with stock pipes with punched out baffles. I recently purchased SE II slip ons and want to know what performance mod to do next to get my best bang for the buck. I'd like to keep adding as the budget allows but not really sure how to go about it.

Gear drive cams by S&S. The S&S 510G will give you extra TQ and power all the way through the RPM.
This was the first upgrade I did to my 04 Road King at the 1000 mile service. I gained 14TQ & 13HP Just by doing the 510G gear drive cams. This cam also works well with the 97" Big bore kit I did a year latter.
Doing the Gear drive 510G cams cost me $950.00 with a dyno tune.
The 97" BB Kit was around $2000.00.
You could go with the SE cams and save a few $$$, but I would do the Gear drive cams sure.

I agree, a cam would be good next move. Just keep in mind final build so that you don't have to do twice. Choose corect cam to work with planned heads and cylinders/pistons that are going to be used. A gear drive would difinately be the right way to go.

I really like the cam idea, but, will the S&S 510 cam work with the bike the way it is and work with a 98" kit. I think if I can swing a BB kit I'd really like to do one but maybe a cam that works with my bike the way it is now won't work with 98" kit.

I would go with a cam (203 or 211) and a Race Tuner. Have the bikd dyno's after you get it done and hang on. The Big Bore kit would be a nice addition too. Either way, you are gonna need a sweet cam, race tuner and a good dyno tech.

save the money a of the bigbore, get a cam for the driving you do most, i.e. low end torque or what not, and have a reputable company work your stock heads over for your new cam. I think you would be supprised what the 88 can do.
