Default Wind control at high speeds

I would like to know if any of you could tell me the best way for a road king with a shield to limit wind and turbulence on long rides at interstate speeds of around 70 mph. Would you guys recommend lowers, wind deflector's, alower baffle, fairing skirt, etc etc etc. I know a aftermarket glide type fairing is probably the best but I need a fix other then spending that kind of money. Just figuredy'all have more experience then meThanks

I would go with the fork air baffle first 58520-79TC for $22.95
I really felt a difference with mine and it can't hurt anyways.
A buddy of mine likes the Chrome Wind Deflectors that mount to the fork brackets
58121-85B $66.95 they look really sharp and move some of the wind out from your body area.
I usually run my tallest windshield for long/high speed runs , I look under the top edge by about 3" .
Not the best deal in the rain , but it gives more coverage on dry days and reduces the wind alot for me.
Good luck and have fun.

I finally went with the lowers and the batwing. Before that I had the windshield, the chrome deflectors on teh fork braces, and the cloth covers over the highway bars. The old set up worked.

Depends if you can narrow where the main problem is... As you're always going to get some wind - you can increase the flow by just moving your legs out from the tank or using the hwy pegs...

Start with the Baffle... It helped some.
Then ya might think about a Clearview Windshiels with RECURVE creates a larger air pocket (same height better coverage do to it redirecting the air flow up & over)...
Engine Guard Chaps...

My main problem would be the turbulence that comes from the lower part of the shield. I would also like to stop some of the wind that hits my legs during the colder months also. Does HD sell Black wind dampers? Thanks again

I removed my baffle once HD quit putting them on new bikes because it deflected wind away from the top of the motor.

I have always ran the wind deflectors on the forks in summer. I put lowers on the RK in the winter.

Air baffle, Freedon Wings, Desert Dwags, Clear View

You can read a book, (but you won't) in the dear air space behind the windshield.
