Those Vrods have small gass tanks yet, Don't they?
07 and up hold almost 5 gallons. My dealer has one of the vrod baggeres on sale, its been there a year and nobodys bought it. Earl Smalls hd marietta ga.
and for the earlier ones, you can buy a new 'high capacity' fuel tank. same, almost 5 gals.
I heard through the Grapvine there would be a mid year release of some sort of water-cooled bagger. They can't seem to get the regular models out right now so maybe it won't happen.

Weet, Be Careful what you wish for Unless the MoCo makes some drastic changes to their water cooled engine. I rented a V-Rod for two days to see if it would make a decent second bike, Im used to a 110 SE Ultra with Gobs of torque below 2000 RPMs The V-Rod starts making usable HP around 4000 rpms and at 75-80 mph is screaming compared to the big V Twins, there is absolutely no way the Revolution Motor in present form, could pull a big touring bike 2 up loaded with luggage with any degree of comfort, After I adjusted to Revving the motor and slipping the clutch to get moving thing went a little better.
I guess that would be something else you would have touse HD anitfreeze only. Would just be another item to service. I know its coming but it probably would seem like a Harley for awhile until I get used to it.
I own both right now. 07 Vrod, and an 08 UG.The Revolution engine is far superior to the air cooled engine 96 ci. How would you like to have 125hp, and no heat issues? No burning leg in traffic. But I must admit, since I got the UG, the Rod hasnt left the garage. They do have to work on the "sound". Doesnt sound like a "Harley" Guess we'll just have to call them "Davidsons". Comparing the bikes to eachother, the V rod is smooth, quite, fast, stops great, never overheats. The UG is loud, engine noise I mean, trans Clangs when you shift, stops pretty good now it has the V Rod brakes, is slow, and will overheat and go into "survival mode". But, you couldnt pry the Ultra away from me with a dozer! I'll give up the V before the UG!

I'll just stick with my 04 RK it doesn't get that hot to where I'm wishing it was water cooled. But the 125HP sure would be fun...Someday, Someday
