I am looking into getting a removable tourpak for for my Street Glide. I was wondering what other people's opinions are on the chopped tour pak or the king tour pak. What would everybody recommand?????
I kinda wish i had a chopped tour pac. The powered fm antenna in the fairing and no rear speakers. Then just slip it on and off , no lights, speakers or anntena. Might get one yet! And cheaper for you.
I prefer the big one for pratical purposes, and the short one for looks. If it's detachable you just take it off for looks. Since I do a lot of traveling, I have the big one so I can haul a lot of stuff.
I personally like the king tour pak but I have a FLHT/I and think the chopped tour pak wouldn't look right on my bike. In my opinion a chopped tour pack would look good on your Street Glide. I ordered the color matched king tour pak from Benji's in W. Virginia for $599.20, talk to Jenni. Only downside is it will probably be Christmas before it comes in, direct from Harley.

I also got the big one for capacity. I find myself leaving it on thru the winter and there is room for all the leather as well as other items to go back and fourth for work.
I was told these things are painted per order and to expect a 4-6 week turn around. I guess I was lucky to get mine in 3 weeks and the paint was flawless.
I believe all total it was about 1100 bucks including all the docking hardware and antenna relocation kit, and I would have to look and see if that also included installation.
To me it seems silly to get the small one from the point of utility. Tour Paks are just that...they are not anything for looks, simply utility. I would get the full sized job...
has any priced out the one for the Heritage Classis, I did.
that one, along with hardware and the detachable rack you need for it is over 1,000.00 with tax..THAT IS ROBBERY!!!!
the only thing is that is really the only one that goes with the bike and all the studs..
That really S..KS
Wife has one on her Heritage. I don't remember the cost right off the top of my head, but it knocked the heck out of a 1,000 bill. It has been worth it though. It keeps some of her stuff off of my bike. I still only have room for two pairs of underwear, but before we got her the tour pac I only got one pair.
I have the chopped tourpak (removeable) on my roadglide. Love it. Easy to take off and put on (I leave it off most of the time). I'm moving my antenna this winter (inside fariing).
