I also use Honda cleaner on my whole bike, I haven't washed it with water for at least 2 years. Spray on bugs & wait a short time & they come right off.
I keep a small spray bottle and towel in my side case. Usually when istop for gas I wipe down the windshield and fairing. This gives me at least a running start on those pesky bast%&$s. Me, I'm a fanatic, several friends EG's and RK's have yet to see a hose.
Bugs and Shine: Spray onBEHOLDfurniturepolishwith citrisand let it sit for a minute, softens up the bug gunk, then wipe to a sparkling shine. Works every time.
Winshield : Do you want your windshield to glisten and shine like the day you drove it off the showroom floor? ....my secret is LUCAS liquid polish. $13.50 a bottle. Designed for clear coat paintand glass. Shake well and put dozen or so dropson a clean cotton cloth, wipe and rubon your windshieldto polish those little scratchesto a glistening crystal clear shine. It polishes out the microscopic scratches and leave it looking brand new. I usally do mine twice for best results.
Wet fairing down in the shade.
take some liguid dish soap, using fingers rub it into the bug splats.
Let set a couple minutes.
Then using a wet microfibre cloth with dishsoap, apply a little elbow
grease and rub them off.
Rewax the fairing.
I use Honda Spray Cleaner and a micro fiber cloth..works great for everything on the bike. The sell large cans and small ones so you can put on in your bags for trips. Only bad thing is aving to go into Honda dealer
Pig Snot and a good wash. I too don't trust Simple Green on my bike. When my dad owned gas stations, we used to use that to clean oil off the cement floors. I've also heard great **** about the Honda Cleaner..
I usually put on a good coat of soap and water and let it soak with an ole t shirt over it and the windshield. Wax everyother time I wash it. Used lemon pledge on my Honda and it worked ok. I like Plexus for the windshield. I find that a good coat of wax goes a long way in preventing the little buggers from sticking...
