What the h#ll kind of bugs you killing? Hot water and soak time works for me.

Plexus Plastic cleaner and polish, bugs just wipe right off.

Also Lemon Pledge does a great job.

I live in Florida and we have a lot of bugs so keeping the bike bug free can be a challenge, especially if you like to ride, and I like to ride.

Plexus with a microfiber towel wipes the bugs right off and makes the plastic and chrome very slick so the bugs wipe off easily the next times. I carry a can of Plexus and some towels in my saddlebags and wipe off the bugs when I stop for fuel and when I get home.

Paint and cleaners are much better than years ago. You used to see cars with their paint ruined from the famous love bugs. I have seen motorcycles with the finish on the forks ruined by bugs that were not removed.

And speaking of love bugs, they are back so that means cool weather is not too far away.

Lemon Pledge. Believe it or not the stuff works like a miracle and it's far cheaper than HD Bug Wash. I saw it used once and robbed the O/L stock the same day. Works like a damn.
