When you're riding the bike..... and riding IS why we have a bike (isn't it?)..... what is more important? How well it performs, how it feels to ride that bad boy? Or what OTHER PEOPLE see as you are going down the road?
Big bore for sure. You've already got some nice looking chrome spokes on there and when you need to pass that slower traffic 2-up, sure is nice to have the power to do it quickly and cleanly.
I would go with the wheels. The bike will really stand out with a 21" front wheel from all the others on the street. You can't tell your bike from another with a big bore.
And as someone else mentioned if I really wanted a faster bike I would have bought one.
What are the reliability issues with the big bore kit? The more you hop them up, the less reliability you get. Is that an issue for you?I see a sig quote "You don't have a thing, if you ain't got the bling!!" which tends to indicate what direction you lean towards. Not that there is anything wrong with bling-bling, if that's your thing-thing.
