FREE SERVICE? What up with that? I live in New York and I ain't heard any FREE service coming my way. October 1st I hear from you guys? I want what you're ON! Does anybody have this documented from the dealer or moco yet? I sure as buck don't!
I was thinking of ordering an IDS from Zanotti's but before I did I went out to Fargo HD to see what their price was...$305 and they wouldn't deal on the price. I then asked the service department how much labor would be on the install and they said that if I can wait until October 1st HD has free labor on certain parts/installs/fixes and that the IDS was one of the "free labor" items. They said this is a nationwide special that runs from October through March.
They say labor is free, but if they charge to retail for the part (IDS=$305) then you are paying for labor since you can buy it from Zanotti's for less than $200.
I work at a harley dealer in toledo and they are offering $100 towards labor.I got the memo today.Just glanced over it.Something about $100 elbow grease discount. You get $100 labor toward certain labor on certain parts.I will post more tomorrow when I get time to read it a little better.

I guess if I have to shell out $200 for the part at least the labor will be free. Do you think it will be a problem to get Fargo HD to install the part from Zanotti's?
I went to my local dealer yesterday about this. The SM scoured their HD site and could find nothing on it. But he said he will keep checking. Also said if it does happen he would have no problem if I got the IDS somewhere and had them install it labor free. They are getting paid for the labor no matter what anyway.
