Any recommendations on an audible alarm that is easily installed? John

Aritronix makes a great product called Scorpio, a paging alarm system. It replaces the ThunderPager system, which I have and love. GREAT customer service too! Easily installed, easy to service and maintain, and it WORKS. I recommend it, a friend has one on his sportbike and he loves it. I'm really glad I bought the ThunderPager instead of the HD alarm, my system costs less, has more features and best of all, I can install and maintain it.

The HD Smart Siren II takes about 10 minutes to install. Just snaps into place under the left side cover.

I just finished installing the radio shack siren in my 07 Ultra Classic. It was a 10 minute job and works great. I used a small piece of 3M double sided tape to hold in place

1. Remove right hard bag
2. Remove right side cover
3. Remove 2 hex nuts (see photo below)
4. Remove module w/ the plastic mounting panel
5. Locate siren plug on back side of mounting panel (see photo below)
6. Unplug siren plug from plug cap
7. Strip approx. 1/4" of the insulation of red wire on Radio Shack siren
8. Strip approx. 1/4" of the insulation of black wire on Radio Shack siren
9. Insert red wire into the hole for the brown wire of thesiren plug
10. Insert black wire into the hold for the green wire of the siren plug
11.Insert siren plug into the cap to hold wires in place
12. Attachsiren to back of mounting panel using double sided tape
13 Reinstallall parts in reverse order

The wiring is temporary until the Delphi plug I ordered arrives.

The plug was close...... but no cigar. Fortunately it only cost me a couple bucks.
I'm finding that there may not be a mate for it. Some of these type plugs are designed to plug into an object, i.e. sensor, wiper motor, etc. and not into another plug. I'm still looking and will holler with what I find......... or don't find. But hey........ it's working!

The difference between using the RS alarm and the Harley Smart siren is the fact that the RS siren does not have a self contained battery whereas the Harley one does... Does that matter? Cutting the power souce to the RS siren will silence it... But the Harley Siren will continue till it's own battery dies.

Yeah, but I figure by the time they get to the wires, it's been screamin' for a couple minutes. And actually, driving a sharp object through the right side cover in the right spot would most likely silence the HD siren too........
