Default Brake sqeak on 08UC
Ridin' down the road on the biggest purdiest bike around all is good...............Until i use the back brake. Upon lite app of brake is squeeks until i either press harder or let off. Not a cool noise. Is this happenin to anyone else and is there a reasonable cure?

Ive heard mine once but some guys are getting it alot, sure they will have a cure in a short time.

Both my front and read breaks squeeked for the first 2000 mile. Last 2000 miles I haven't heard any squeeking. Just stopped on his own.

Ok, well, something to look forward to i hope. Gonna take me a year to get 2000k on mine as little as i ride.

Mind did, briefly. Then it stopped at about 1k miles.

My 08 Ultra started the squeeking Rear Brake at a little over 100 mi. I took it back to the Stealer and they tried to convince me all the bigger bikes do this. I said "What kind of CRAP is this"??? They took it in and cleaned the glaze from the brake pads. No more squeak for about 50 mi. Then it returned but not as bad. I now have 475 mi. and it still squeaks but not every time I apply the brake and not as bad as it did at first. I'm giving it until I have the 1000 mi. service done and if it still squeaks I guess we'll go from there???? BUT I'm NOT buyingthe "All the bigger bikes do this" CRAP. I'm wondering if this problem has something to do with the new Brembo Brakes on the 08's.

07's squeek too. Local Harley service manager himself owns an 07 and he's very upset about it. He has about 3000 miles on his bike and said it comes and goes..

I ride with a lady who has a 08 SG and that thing will drive you crazy with that squeeeeek!![:@]I have a 07 EGC and I can't tell if mine squeeks or not over the rattleing of the traney

I thought I read that the new Brembo brakes on the 08's were used this year to stop the brake squeel problem. Guess this upgrade didn't work as advertised.
