Default Intrest rates...........

Back a couple of weeks ago when I ordered the bike the dealer told me they could get finacing. The MOCO wanted 9.7%. And I have perfect credit. I got it at the suggestion of the dealer from the local credit union at 4.99% (48mo). What are you guys seeing around the country for rates? For a while the MOCO had some really low rates for the 07's but that has stopped I guess.

I have great credit and got 8.99 from the MOCO a couple of weeks ago. I have been looking at home equity loans and the best fixed rate I have seen is 7.1%. Where are you and what credit union was that - my local could not beat Harley by enought to switch.

I got a 5.49% on my 06 Ultra from Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Credit unions are cheaper than banks.

It was running 8.9 here at the local bank. I did the MOCO thing at 2.99 when they had out that incentive. They (banks) were charge recreational rates to MCs.

Bought the 07 at 2.99% when they had the promotion - USAA has some pretty good rates if you are a member.

I also got in at the 2.99% rate on an '07. HD's rates are not great, especially if you have good credit and can command a better rate in the market. I would recommend checking with your bank or credit union. Note that credit unions can typically offer better ratesthan banks given that they are exempt from federal and state income taxes.

I purchase on 07 UC back in July and got a HD Financial interest rate of 4.99% for 60 months. That program lasted about 2 months. After that it changed to 7.99% for 60 months. HDF changes on a regular basis and if you can wait sometimes you can get a great finance rate.
