I have a 2006 Ultra , stock 2 up seat , also i have a Corbin Gambler seat but doesn't give the wife enough seat with riding two up and after riding with this seat for a few months, I find it hard to ride two up with the stock Harley seat. It is moving to close up after riding with the Corbin seat. Does anyone here know of a good seat that will allow me to ride two up , give her the confort she needs and getting me back like i ride with the Gambler seat. Any Ideas ?? Please let me know .
Thanks for the reply, I checked and haven't seen the person you told me to check with , thanks anyway.
Mean City Cycles has a section here on the forums. Allen (BadX) does seat modifications for a better price than you could purchase a new seat. He sells diy kits also to put memory foam in your passenger seat. I think you and the mrs. would be happy.
dawg, have you had your 08 seat done by him?
my BIG question,, if so, did he reuse your 105th aniv. seat cover???
I haven't yet, waiting for the weather to cool off so I don't mind letting the bike sit seatless for a bitbutyou can see below where he has already done an anniversary seat. He reuses your cover, just takes some foam out.
I have an Ultimate Seat for my VTX which I have used for 3 years prior to getting my Electra Glide. I did some very long trips on it last year and averaged 600 miles on some of those days - my butt never got sore!. Des started making Harley Seats a year or so ago but starting out as a metric seat builder has made it hard for him to crack the Harley market. He was at Sturgis last year across from the Mustang tent. I would seriously consider this guy and his product - I am waiting until he gets his 08 Electra Glide seats done (they changed a bit this year due to the new tank) and I will be sending my $$$ to him.
