I have bought a 05 RKC and about ready to turn my first 1000mi mark and i would like to get some advise on some of the first upgrades i should get.I know that one of the vary 1st things i need is to invest in some pipes. but after that i am lost. I want to get more HP.I would realy appreciate the input.
I know this sounds like the proverbial broken record. Pipes, hi flow aircleaner and a "download" to the efi brain will help a lot. Typical first upgrade!
The very first thing going on my new RK, before I take delivery, will be a Corbin Dual Tour saddle with backrest. After that???? When I was finally able to get a Corbin that fit my 1200R her "range" increased fourfold! Nuthing worse than a soft hardleeablezinn pain inflicting saddle to ruin the enjoyment of the bike, IMhO. DFO
I have a 05 RKC, too. I just did the Stage 1 kit, V&H true dual headers, and V&H classic slip-on mufflers (and a new remap, of course). It's like having a new bike. Loud, but not obnoxious, and crisp throttle response. The bike feels like it's lost about 100 lbs.
I know this sounds like the proverbial broken record. Pipes, hi flow aircleaner and a "download" to the efi brain will help a lot. Typical first upgrade!
