I listen to the engine and usually shift to 6th gear around 70+ mph.&nbsp\\; Anything before that is a waste.&nbsp\\; Good luck and safe riding!

My shift points vary. It depends on how much power I am asking for. If I'm just cruisin 2500 -2600 shift. If I'm gettin on it I'll run to around 5000 or more&nbsp\\;before shifting ... depends on my mood

I use 6th in speeds as low as 55mph. That is flat country and riding by myself. SG with SE stage one, 2.0 Rush slip-ons. The bike does okay without bogging down.

I agree its mostly about riding style.&nbsp\\; But I also think its about rpm more than speed...

My bike has a sweet spot aprox. 2800rpm.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I usually cruise nearby rpms...2500-3200
If I whack the throttle from these rpms, bike pulls strong to the redline.&nbsp\\;

BTW, 3500 feels good in 6th at 82mph.&nbsp\\;Of course, it feels good in #rd gear, if I'm feelin' a lil hooligan.\\\\\\; 4250 rpm equals 100&nbsp\\;mph in 6th?&nbsp\\;

Now I don't mind noodling along at 2400 rpm, but I rarely ride below 2000 unless I'm in a parade, a school zone, oe rolling toward a stop sign.

This is just my own riding style.&nbsp\\; Not for everyone, but how I enjoy riding.&nbsp\\;
