Getting ready to take a ride tomm... so i hooked up both headsets and plugged in everything works but the Intercom I turned it on in the setup
and tried it both with vox and PTT what did I miss?????????? Sure would be nice to have in the AM....[:@]
If I remember right there are very detailed instructions in the owners manual. I think there is some type of setting for volume control in the set-up somewhere. I cant remember and dont have it in front of me.
Had the same issue. Went through the book, slowly, and all is well.
Make sure you are staying in the com setup, not sliding back to the radio.....
Good luck
Turn on Com for communications. Make sure you set the + and - on the Vox to determine cut in volume and cut out volume. When I activated my Com, it wasall the way down on the -scale. I found it works best when I'm about 3 bars from the top of the + side when on the highway. When you get out of VOX mode, the FM radio should pick right back up. The only way to adjust radio volume is for you to be in radio mode. The vox will remember the settings. It takes a little playing around but you will get it. Don't forget to set the rocker switch on the dash to the right position as well. My Rush pipes activate it once in a while.
Well sounds like everything I've done but I will go over it again I must have missed something seems the VOX doesn't come on unlesss I am all the way to open even when I speak...??? Isn't COM for the CB???? INT for the intercom???? Maybe thats my problem do I have this backwards?
Make sure you set the communications volume in communications mode. Yes, Intercom is what you want. Don't forget to hit the ON button and watch the display. Both the passenger and rider must individualy set the Intecomcommunications volume. Radio volume and Intercom volume are completely independent. Hope this helps.
Thanks again I'll go try it again waiting on thr fog to lift to head out!!
