Got the bike back today, they don't have a clue what is going on. Adjusted the cold/hot idle. i told them of the post here, they said "since the bike is not recording an error code, can't be a hardware problem". I leave for Daytona AM, crossing my fingers, and may dump it back on them upon return, that is if it runs..........
Bike still shutting down, back to dealer tomorrow. Dealer claims MOCO is telling them to replace the run/stop switch, don't think that is the problem but going with the flow at 0900 tomorrow. When it does this shut down thing, it is like the idle control is taking over and it will shut down 5-6 times in a row, then run fine for a day or two.
Last year my 07 FLHX was dying when coming off the freeway ramps when coming to a stop.
Seemed to not want to idle, then die but would start right bach up.
Had 5k on on it then.Took to the dealer and they remapped it and the problem was gone.
Did a great job on the dyno tune, 87 hp w/ just SE Racing pipes, SE Racetuner & breather.
This also took care of the "excessive" heat some complain about, but it was running lean at the time.
Now w/ 10K it started again last week. I see in the previous posts that the crank sensor may be a prime culprit.
i had a problem like that and it was my PCIII that took a dump. Power commander replaced it for free. I know from working on cars that the Crank Sensor if ti is going bad will just shut the vehicle down with no rime or reason then give it a min it will start back up. Hopefully you got your problem fixed.
