Is there a navigartion system option with this system, or is that really more of a "menu" button for setting up other parts of the stereo/CB/intercom?
Yes it is a option. Push the nav and it will either go into the mode or say it has not been installed. You can have it added but it is pricey.

I have the Zumo mounted half way down the left handlebars, perfect placement. Another Gps is the TomTom rider2 - that unit comes with a bluetooth headset - you'ld have thought at the price of the Zumo you could get on headset included.

I did buy my Zumo new for 623.00 with next day delivery - www.pcnation.com

There's an option for navigation that works with your factory radio. It's not cheap & not nearly as useful as the aftermarket products.
Buy a Garmin zumo 550 with the XM antenna option. You'll have a Nav and XM radio for less money than the factory Nav option.

Here's the mounting system I got for my UC: http://www.gpscity.com/item-ram-moun...amb149ga14.htm.There's also an option to get a larger U-bolt to fit larger diameter bars.

I already had a Garmin GPS76CS for fishing, so I just use that.

those who have the issue with the 1.25" bars, the easy solution that I used on one of my bikes was to buy the mirror mount from Ram, where your mirror mounts onto your clutch lever, you remove the mirror and place the mount onto the mirror shaft using the mirror mount as a washer, and you are done....

Yes you can get an add on GPS to the Radio.
The draw back is the size of the screen.

aftermarket GPSs offer much better features and are easier to read than the over-priced one that HD offers. I used mounts from cyclegadgets.com and they work great.
