Default Thanks Fellas!

Picked up my scoot at the dealer today after I had the 1K done and had them install the SERT and AN Big Sucker AC, I had previously done the Rinehart TD's. The bike runs really well, dynoed out at 78 HP and 91 ftlbs. of torque not too bad for such small modifications. Really big difference in feel of the bike. Glad I listed to you all, thanks again for the advice.

While I was there I asked one of the service writers to tell me what he thought of the IDS and he looked at me like I was speaking Martian ....... turns out they haven't ever installed one. The service manager overheard our conversation and went to the back and retrieved all of the current service bulletins and had a "meeting" with his team (they didn't even know about the labor promo Harley is having right now - kinda scary) anyway, after the meeting the guy tells me they know what the IDS is and they will be running the promo until Jan. 1. That means I have some time to think about the IDS and if I really need it, I can't hear a lot of noise from my bike and it seems to run just fine. Of course, I have a really bad case of CHS (Can't Hear Sh*t) so who knows it may sound like an old Ford Diesel.

So, I'm feelin pretty good about myself then I read about Phil. M's, HotPursuit and Dalton's 113 HQ builds and I hear a big bang, which turns out to be my bubble! Oh well ......

I was having problems at understanding what the IDS was so I went out to the web and got some information. Very interesting concept. here is a link to MSN groups to help those, like me, that do not know what this was.

Same as a cush/coosh drive found on many other makes and models past and present it seems.

Vic, let me know when you are going to do your next oil change. You know I live right by you, and would have no problem helping you do it. I have a lift, and tools, so no big deal. My bike is an '05, you know that, but doing the oil on your '07 can't be much different (other than no primary chain adjustment). Just let me know. BTW, I have found that most at Thinderbird are behind with what I have learned on this forum. Also, do you know when they plan to do their toy run? I have looked at their site, and see no mention of it. Or any, for that matter. If you happen to know of any rides coming up, please drop me a PM.

Try putting 75-110 gear lube it your trans before buying the IDS, it made a world of differance in mine and it only cost $12
