Default Cruise control on a 2003 FLHTCI

In the middle of instaling a factory Harley cruise control. Didn't think to take pics along the way. Got about 7 hours in it already, and probably 1-2 more today. Question, has anyone else been crazy enough to try this, and two, exactly how did you do your wire placement from the cruise module to the fuel injection? I did as the instructions read, but it sits a little close to the front rocker box for me.

you mean the cable from the module to injector?. Instructions say partial removel of gas tank but found this very uneccesary. I just fished it along the left side of tank and crossed over to injector. Seemed a little close to jugs but not that close. Sounds like you got it take your time and just try to re-fish-it under tank again. My only problem was patients. At one point I almost snapped the ingnition switch trying to reinstall[:@]

Did it on my 02 FLHTCI.
I unbolted the rear tank bolt and lifted the tank slightly.
Over the brace like it says in the instructions.

I love my cruise. I'm road captain for our local chapter of our MM and it really helps me to maintain speed.

Thanks for the ideas. I did as the instructions said. I lifted the rear of the tank for better access (no big deal, propped it with the handle end of a screwdriver, and routed the cable up and over the engine support mount. Just seems a little close to the front rocker box for me. That part wasn't too bad, getting that ignition switch off to put the cruise switch in was interesting though. I also replaced the throttle cables while I was already in that deep. The old ones were a little tight, even with regular maintenance. They feel much better now. About ready to go finish it up now (put the fairing back together and make the final adjustments). Can't wait to give it a try!

Well, after Harley's recomendation of putting a spacer in the brake switch lever, I broke the front brake switch. I have had this apart several times before, never using a spacer, and never having a problem. Go figure!! Off to the dealer again!!!
