There's no way I'd ever pay that kind of money. Not so much the actual dollar amount as it is the fact that it's a cloned custom from the factory if you will and if you line up 10 of them, they will all look exactly alike. I'd much rather buy and customize to make it my own. Jest my two pennies and no offense to folks who own them. They are a damn sweet looking scooter.
I've heard it before in other threads, guys balk at the price, but proudly boast of all the stuff they do to the plain janes, bottom line a lot of them end up with more money invested in them than if the went with a CVO to start with.

Exactly! I'd rather have a 40K in a one of kind bike built to my tastes than a cookie cutter rolling ad for the P&A catalog. BTW, I don't give a **** about resale. I'll just park it in the corner and let it rust with the others. I'd didn't buy any of my bikes based on what they would be worth later. I for one take great pride and satisfaction picking the parts and installing them myself.

Exactly, thats why harley sell's all kinds and different levels, from base Standard to the SECVO it's called Marketing. A *** for every seat is out there just ready to spend the cash on what suits them best.
If I had the money without causing a hardship (ie: just won the lottery) I would be riding one right now. I've got one of the first CVO bikes that came out and it's been the best money I've ever spent. I'd love to see another Road Glide CVO.
I saw one at Skip Fordyce in Riverside... 44,995.. Just out of curiosity I asked if they move off of that price, they said not on the CVO's and they didn't think it would last the weekend... And I guess price is relative... to some guys, thats not alot of cash.. Of course I'm not one of those guys![8D]
Mine was a little less out the door, 07 SE Ultra, I had an 04 but this is twice the ride, with just a Fuel Pak, Mufflers and the Retrofit IDS pulley, 500 mi at a loafing speed of 75-80 mph seems like a trip to the store, I have a riding Buddy who has $32,000 invested in his 07 Ultra and when he sells it will still bring Basic Ultra Price.
I think it just depends on what you want to do. If you want all of the options now, buy an SE. I chose to get a standard RKC, add the 110, pipes, SERT, AC, seat, tour trunk etc. Now I am up to 25k (less than the 29k for the SE RK) with the options I wanted.
I probably would not get as much for a sale or trade, but I am the type to ride it until it dies anyway. 9100 miles so far this year! I love the bike and have no plans to sell/trade.

I'd like to see one with your paint scheme. That screaming eagle is awesome.
