Had the IDS installed today at Latus Motors in Portland, OR. Cost was $363. That price was with the $100 elbow grease discount. I know, I paid more than you did so I don't need to hear it really. The bottom line is that it's done and I didn't have to do it. That's worth something to me.
The result is noticable but not huge. My bike was smooth before and now it's even smoother. Pulls from 2K with absolutely no vibration. I don't normally bog my bike down but I can now if I want. I can also use 6th at 60 if I want.
I wasn't having noise issues so I can't say if the drive train is quieter. With the new pipes I couldn't hear it anyway!
It was 70 and sunny in the great Northwest today. What a perfect day to ride. Put 200 miles on the ticker. I LOVE THIS BIKE!
Runs great, sounds great, smooth as can be. Stage 1 + IDS = riding heaven.
