'05 EGC. I filled it up yesterday and apparently hit the button/switches in a secret sequence that made the bike go into a diagnostic mode. I think I turned on the ignition switch while I was holding in the trip meter reset button. The gauges lit up and the speedo display started showing all kinds of stuff that I could scroll though with the turn signal switch. I turned the ignition switch off then back on and all was O.K. I looked through the H.D.shop manual when I got home but there was no info on what happened. Anybody know what happened & how I may be able to use it in the future? Where can I get info on the diagnostics?

There is separate manual called Electrical Diagnostics for your 2005 it is part# 99497-05. It tells you how to extract trouble codes, the code information from both the ECM and TSM/TSSM and all other electrical information.
the procedure has changed....the information on the posted thread does not work on a 2005. For 2005 the codes are displayed in the odometer window.
oops, sorry, wrong thread. i was looking for this one: https://www.hdforums.com/m_43975/tm.htm
this i have verified on my 07 and it works, but good to have the manual to make sure that they have not changed the meaning of the code displayed (dont know why they would do that though)
i had a hard time finding it, i have it printed out and in my file cabinet.
