Trouble Code - Cant Clear it !!!

Default Trouble Code - Cant Clear it !!!
My 2005 Road King is showing an historical code - engine light comes on again for about 5 secs after start. I have gone into DIAG MODE on the speedometer but when I enter the code areas with the PSSPT displayed Flashing first P for ECM I get NORSP displayed.All others show NONE other than the Tach area which as I dont have a Tach also shows NORSP. I have checked all fuse for the ECM and checked the connectionsand everything is good. Have any of you any idea what is causing the NORSP display for the ECM?????

Make sure your "run" switch is in the "on" position, when you turn on the ignition while holding the odometer reset button.

JB - BIG thank you for that!!!! You were quite right I was trying to clear the code without turning on the run switch. Everything is OK now.
