You buy a Harley because you like the look, the sound, the feel, etc. Riding, for me, is more enjoyable on my Harley. I never sat in my garage and stared at my metric bikes!! Hope that makes sense. Good luck on your decision.

I could not have said it better!!!

Me either. If this doesn't make sense to you then you may be better off with the Victory. There is nothing wrong with thatthey are great bikes. You may not have Harley blood in you. I have riden almost every other make knowing that eventually I would have a Harley. They have all been great bikes. Many of them more refined than my SG and definetly a lot less $$$ than I have in mine. However my SG is the best bikeI have ever bought for many reasons. Some that really can't be explained.
interesting...on other posts you claim to already own an '08, yet on this one you say ya don't yet....which is it? Or are ya just talkin' ta hear yerself?
I think he said he already has a Vic. He's probably blowin' smoke. I have a Vic and there different,They do go and stop well. But I can't give it away, alot of lookers and no takers. I will be coming home to HD after a 11 years. My first bike was a 75'FLE and I've had everything HD made from a 84'Sportster, 87'Softtail, 89'FLHTC and a 92' Dyna. I had to see what was out there. HondaVFR,Triumph Daytona,Aprillia Falco and a couple of Moto Guzzi'sand now I'm coming back (Thanks Bro) My next will be a 08' FLHX. I'll let ya'll know when I get her. "IT'S A HARLEY THING, YOU WOULD'NT UNDERSTAND"
Brutal thread. Bruce - here's how I handled my recent Street Glide purchase. I traded in my Dyna (what a sweet ride....) and got almost what I paid for it in trade. I laid down cash for my '08 SG and did not even think twice about it. I knew it was what I wanted and really don't care what anyone says about the bike. It's mine, it's beautiful, and I have a sh!teatin' grin everytime I get on it. 1000 miles in two weeks. Would I do it again? I'm know I will.

I wanna see a picture of your puny little feet on a SG Board! There are so many funny replies here I can't pick 1 to quote....BTW, that feeling in your cals is not your wife nudging ya it is her kicking you to buy the damn Harley, she cant stand being seen beotch on that Victory anymore...After riding all the others for 35 years, I finaly got my Harley. It is the finest bike I ever owned, bar none. If you don't understand that , ya got no business on one anyway...It really is an emotinal thing....Victory standards is an oxymoron, you are just a plain moron.....
