Default painted inner fairing question

Hi allI have a question i am taking my inner fairing and cap to the painter tomorrow. Whati need to know is what did others did about the weather strippingalong the sides. Leave it on or take it off paint it on or paint it off. I am worried that the paint on the weatherstripping will crack if i leave it on and look like ****. Another question is the top plate under the ignition switch paint it to match along with the lower cap or leave it black. What did eveyone else do. the color will be black pearl.

Take the weather stipping off and then paint, then put weather stripping on. If you're talking about that little plate that goes directly under the ignition, leave it black. It should saylock, on, acc anyway.

Never paint it with the weather stripping on... Take it off and replace with NEW

Leaving the Stripping on will cause it to crack over time. Leave It Off!

Take stripping off and paint everything else and then re-install.
