We all know the tourers are the same period after you strip em down to the motor and frame. All therest is just window dressing. This is one stupid argument.

Wow didn't mean to cause a huge discussion, just thought it was funny there was such a small difference in price, for a bike that is apparently cheaper to make.
If I had to choose the SG is my favorite, just stings to pay for "cool" when the cool bike has less into it.

But what do you expect when the originator of this thread used terminology like "rear top case"
First off....exactly.

Secondly......I am not too sure if the MOCO is using the same frame geometry/seat/foot peg position on all the touring bikes, but I think the RK, and SG have the same set up about. I did ride the UC, and Classic before I road the SG, and I can tell you this I am 100% sure of. The seating position of the SG is much more relaxed and your not sitting quite so erect. This is why I bought the SG.....plus we all know its one friggen hot bike (would the MOCO be selling so many if it wasn't?). I dont do the kind of two up riding at this stage of the game that would warrant buying a UC (I would love to have one though). So I figured that a SG would fit the bill perfectly.....and if I needed to add one of the various Tour Packs, I could....or even a T-bag set up, if me and the GF are going for a few days. No....I am glad I went with the SG....at the time......it was the bike that BEST fit what I wanted.

I'm not a new rider, I'm not young and I don't worry about being in the "club". I bought the SG, (my 5th HD in 30 years and I was only without a bike for about a year and a half of that time, so I think I qualify to toss MHO outthere) cuz I liked it. Then I thought I screwed up and wanted an Ultra...... my Goldwing roots showing through for a bagger, but decided to hang onto the SG. The SG is a nice bike, not a "flavor" of the month, that comes about by a movie or some celeb with alot of press....... The SG just did it all by itself. Are there better ROI HDs available? sure are. But, what ever ya like, ya ride. Well, I've blah blah blahed enough, time for a beer.

OK.........

If the SG is your favorite, then buy it or you will regret yourpurchase and end up wasting more money paying for a bad decision than you could ever throw away by "paying for cool".Just make sure the StreetGlide is the best choice for the type of riding you plan to do.....
