Does anyone know if there is a difference between the passenger backrests between the FLHR and the FLHRC? Specifically, I want to know if HD part # 96355-08 which is the riders essential kit for the flhr will fit the flhrc?
I have a chance at a good deal on this. Eventually I will be adding the tour pak. If this fits, this will really help on the funds expended. Every little bit helps.
One of the reasons that I am asking. Now when you say only the forward docking points, what passenger backrest would you use if you had the tour-pak off?
I was hoping that once I purchased the tour pak, that when it was not on the machine, I could put the backrest on and hook up to the same docking points?
You're almost right Romee, the regular backrest uses two points on each side. The removable tour pak uses the forward mounts but has separate mounts that are farther back than the rear ones on the backrest. By adding the mounts for the tour pak you can swap back and forth between the two.
Romee...if you don't already have the docking kit installed on your scoot:
do a search here on the forum regarding that docking kit.
The instructions that come with it are useless.
The info given on this forum will help you 10 times greater than those damned instructs.
