How come?

Just installed free flowing mufflers, andrews cam, and SE air intake. Is there anything that has to be done to the ECM? My H.D. service manager tells me there are no down loads for my bike. Why isn't this ECM programmable? Do I need something like a Power Commander. If so which one is a better match for this bike.

Not planning to do much more your cheapest and nearly the best route to take might be the PC-III with a tune at a center with their dyno-link (or whatever it's called) setup. It'll pretty much automatically set the fueling requirements in the PC. Timing changes would still be up to the technician. The SERT would allow you finer-grained control, along with greater range on the spark timing, but it'll cost a bit more and the technician's abilities are more important with it.
While I have added cams yet, I plan on the thundermax with autotune when I do. Mostly because it will work if I make further mods to the engine. There are many many posts and its almost a relegious argument.
You can check them out.
The SERT is a one bike shot, that is I am told that it will work only on a single bike. (I hope I get flamed for being wrong
)
Expensive. I beleive scooter64 has a good price. But I like the idea of not having to dyno ever.
