I have an Acc switch on my 08' Street Glide, can anyone tell me what this controls? I though I read that there was a plug on the left side of the bike that it powers but damned if I can find it.
It doesn't control anything until you add some accessories. Of course, the plug is an HD plug and their accesorries come with a corresponding plug that fits it. I have the floorboard LED lights and the LED lighted passenger peg covers hooked up to mine.
The plug on the left side of your bike behind the side cover and below the fuse box is for the SERT to plug in. Do not use it for ANYTHING else.Like Pappy said the one you are looking for is stuffed down in front of the battery and can be kind of difficult to find.

Owner's manual. -> Index -> "Accessory Switch" -> Description on page 73. -> Picture of the acc socket tucked neatly away under the front of the seat can be found on page 74.
I just went thru this..... it is hidden in front of the battery, between the battery and the wiring harness tray... look down, underneath the wiring harnesses and you will see it tucked away down there. You can also get a view of it by taking the right side cover off and looking at the area in front of the battery.
Thanks to rocknrod for showing me where to find it.
