I did a stage 1 with SE A/C, SERT and Kerker slip ons on my 08 RG. The pipes are too loud for me so I plan to change. Need some help so I don't waste anymore $.
1. How much additional torque would I pick up with a good 2 to 1 setup and a new dyno?
2. Can someone describe the difference in the sound and volume between the DD Fatcats and the SuperTrapps which seem to be the favorites on the forum? How does the loudness compare to V&H Ovals?
3. What does the ghost pipe connect to at the front?
I understand you can get the Fatcat with a quite baffle. AMS has some decent prices on both the pipe and the ghost pipe. They'd probably be able to answer the other questions you have, as well. Their number is 1-800-210-8675.
On the fatcat the ghost pipe fastens to the exhaust braket fasten to the starter and the heat sheild comes right up to the pipe on the other side. makes it look like the pipes are actually connected.

Thanks for your help gents!
The Supertrapp does not have a ghost pipe available for it, only the Fatcat and Thunderheader have the ghost pipe option.
Get the Fatcat 2-1 with the quiet baffle...........you won't be disappointed.
may i suggest that you check out the RB black hole 2 into 1 . they are extremely quiet .
i wanted a quiet one and this is what i settled for after searching and studying all. a pian to install but i paid to get it done.
the owner is a mess to deal with but he makes a good product and has a great site ....go read it .
as far as hp and torque is concerned ,you will not notice any gains other than after you hit 5,000 rpm.
actually as the bike is set up ,it provides great power.
there will be little improvement and you can go read all the magazine articles on this topic and actual tests that have been conducted and as published i found very little to gain here.
but, a pc 3 will help you bring down the heat on the bike.and the 2 into 1 wil also help here .
I just put on D&D fatcat 2:1 with quiet baffle, T-max with auto-tune, and K&N 3909 air
filter kit las t weekend, the pipe is a little bit noiser than stock pipes but no-where near
as loud as my buddies TD rines, I asked my roommate of they sounded louder when I took
off and he was in the house and he said he didn't even hear me, that was the perfect answer
for me, where you can hear the TD's a half-mile up the street.
The difference is amazing with the mods, idles much smoother, throttle response is smooth,
and powerfull now I just some time on the auto-tune.
