NOPE!!! But if you record your MP3 music to disc (make sure you copy it at the lowest speed) then you can have around 200 songs and then you can use your controls

That's truly the way to go. I convert CD to MP3 format at 96kbs which is fine for use in a car or bike and can get about 250 songs give or take on a single MP3 CD. Set it on random play and it's like you own your own DJ free radio station.
On my 07 when my Nano is plugged into the Aux the only contol you have it the volumn. I do agree the the other guy here. Make a mp3 disc and just play away
