Corndog: The SERT is a device that allows the user to reprogram the bike's ECM to change a/f, ignition timing, etc. In the hands of an incompetent user, the a/f can be leaned excessively creating burned valves, holes in pistons, etc.
The SERT package and software state that use of the SERT "may" void the MOCO warranty; it does not say that the SERT "does" void the warranty. Given the potential for misuse of the SERT's ability to change the factory ECM settings and resulting engine damage, that "may" void language makes good sense IMO.
My dealer recommended and installed the SERT in my 08 UC, and the shop dyno tuned the bike. No warranty issue here, but may have been if I had chosen to try program it myself (and screwed it up).
The dealer installed mine - no issues here. Since it was done before delivery I had it dyoned at an indie here and the map installed by the dealer was right on.
The SERT in lawyer englishVOIDS all powertrain warrranty. Ifan authorized dealer installed and tunes with the sert, it becomes a case-by-cases basis. Even with the Mag-mor act in place, this one will be almost impossible to beat.

Where in my warranty can I find this info. My SERT info just warns that installation "may" affect the warranty.
