Sounds like you guys are planning on removing the tank a lot more than I am.
I have had mine off at least 10 times now. I do a lot of electrical stuff as well as three engine mods. It is much easier to get the tank out of the way and not worry about damaging it.
Exactly! Not to mention not stinking up the whole house from spilling.

Let me ask a "dumb" question...

So you buy the fitting for the crossover line. Do you also need to get a quick disconnect for the tank to the Fuel injection system? I thought I read in the manual that there was one there already. Assuming there is, Does it close off like these do when disconnected?

Yes, the fuel line coming out of the tank is quick disconect, and yes it shuts of the fuel when disconected.

I bought one from galvatron10 for use on a softail. Lemme tell ya, not much room up front to make one of these practical on a softy. Plenty of room on touring bikes though. Nice unit.

Just had a quick disconnect delivered today from Coyote Gear. http://coyote-gear.com/QuickD.html

It is a reall nice piece and works great. As much as I have had the tank on and off, this is just what the doctor ordered. Maybe changing throttle bodies down the line and who know what else so this will make life easier.
Which one did you get? In line with what size hose barbs on each piece or the L shaped one with whatthread size and hose size?
CowboyGlide
My Ultra, as most later model EFI equipped bikes already has a "quick disconnect" for the fuel supply line to the throttle body. I purchased the5/16" inline quick disconnect for the crossover at the front of the tank.
