I have the J&M's on my bike. They work well and look nice. My originals were way too farking long and got caught in the garage door. Then I bought a cheap set which promptly went to crap just from vibration. Third set are the J&M's. Problem solved.

Can you cut some of the length off of the cb antenna and it still work properly. I bought some of the cheap rubber ones off of EBay and the fm works fine... but the cb does not seem to transmit or receive at all.

You CAN trim the antenna - but ta do it right, ya gotta know how ta run an' adjust SWR's. Either find someone near ya that understands it, or jest buy the J&M antenna's an' be done with it. Ah have the J&M's on the bike fer local stuff, an' when we hit the road on vacation ah reinstall the OEM's.
