I too have built bikes for friends, and worked on them for years.It was a blast most of the time.Good luck.

I help friends & make tools & parts available whenever possible, but I now make sure I know the person. I once offered to trade a factory paint fender I had for a raw bobtail to a guy I met at a local biker bar. Wound up with his POS bike livin' in my shop off & on for several weeks & fixed a number of problems for him. His total contribution.........1 beer & a burger & a lot of gripin'/whinnin' to & about some of my friends & the price of parts. Finally had to refuse to take phone calls from him. As a friend of mine in the business says, "lay a wrench on a guys POS rat bike, & you're married to it."

There's a world of people with motorcycles out there that don't understand what it's all about.
