Whatever you decide, please don't make the decision based on how anything sounded on a website sound clip.
Listen to them in real life, preferably ride along beside or even ON a bike that is exactly like yours and has those mufflers. Otherwise it's all just guesswork.
I'm being told that on a stock bike, there is very little difference between the rush slip in with 1 3/4 baffel and the Supertrapp 2in1 pipes when it comes to performance and noise. They are both about the same. Does anybody know the truth.

Not 100% sure this is the truth but I believe it would be near impossible if not completely impossible that you would notice any power difference in the seat of your pants. Maybe you could see a difference on a dyno, but feel it, no way. Buy what sounds the best to you. That is something tangible that you will hear and enjoy every time you ride your bike.

Cardboard, I've got super trapps on my 07 eg std. I had 12 disc per side when first installed, which is factory. The right side started blueing a little after 2000 miles so I took out the disc. It's only a little louder and not much difference in performance.I actually like the sound better! not smart enough to post a sound clip but i'd be glad to give a telephone listen.Email me if you want my #

Yer saying 12 disc per side, did you git the ST se slip in mufflers or the St supermeg 2in1? How bad did it blue, does it look bad enough that it bothers you.
The more disc you put in the louder its suppose to git and the more power right !
How loud are they to the rush slip in mufflers with a 1 3/4 baffel
Do you like the pipes or wish you had something else.
I have the se slip ons.More disc make it louder andbetter top end performance, less disc give better low to midrange torque. They do make adifference!!! Sluggish throttle response was one of the biggest complaints on 07 models. TheSTs really made a difference from 2500 to 3500 rpm. the blueing is very minor, I'm probably the only one who'll ever notice.
