Hi, I posted this on the road trip sectionbut I thought I wouldpost it here too.I know there are alot of people on this forum that travel every year. And I 'am planning a trip for 2008. I have went out west for the last 4 year and I love it but me and the guy'sI ride with would like to do something differnt. So my question is, has anyone done a trip up the east coast? From as far south asNorthCarolina and north as Maine? We would like toride the coast line as much as we could. Let me know what you think? And if anyone has any pic's that would be great. Your input would help......
you cna do the entire east coast buy the water but it will be long and slow
get a map and do it all from n.c. all the way to bar harbor maine
you will do the tunnel that connects va with delaware and the you can take the ferry to cape may and up the coiat then on via ny streets to conn and the coast all the way
Being from Connecticut, I have rode North to Maine and as far South as South Carolina. Did a combo of Highway and Coast line, as Well as Inland. Great Riding, and honestly the experience will be muh diffrent from out west.
If you make your plans, left me know I have a Garage for the bikes and a Large Basement to lay your heads for a night if needed.
For ideas, you might want to get the Atlantic Coasttour map in the "Rides of a Lifetime" series carried by HD. These maps were created for HDby MadMaps (www.madmaps.com).
