Has anyone had any difficulty mounting these stock HD items inside their helmets and still having room? The helmet installation intructions are clear enough but it's a tight (uncomfortable) fit. Regards.
While my HD headsets are still in the box, I have installed others in both HJC and Arai helmets. In those cases, I've made some "adjustments" to the internal foam core for a better fit of the wiring, speakers, and mic. A Dremel Tool and vacuum work well.

I believe you've covered yourself nicely (ha ha). Thanks.
I installed two in the Jet II HD helmets with no problems. Took me a second to realize I needed to take out a peice of plastic where the speaker fits but it comes right out with a tug and the speaker velcro goes in its place. No issues with the wires, they fit under the padding with no issues or need to modify anything. Other than I think they could use a better quality speakerthey work great. IMHO.
I didn't have any problems installing but the quality of these speakers are lousy in my opinion. I think that ones that comes with the old Walkmans, etc had lots better quality. I wonder if you could cut the earpieces off and wire in a better set of earpieces???
