Id be afraid to do this - a coupel of issues that I see
1 - MOvement of the antenna - granted this might be solved wiht a few zip ties
2- Pain rubbage - I can see this rubbing the crap out of the fender
3 - Heat sink - this puts the plastic coated antenna right above the hear sink for the regulator/ ecm . hats one area that you do not want plastic dripping for sure.
Good thought , if anyone has tried this share up

If this bothers you then just put the antenna inside the fairing. It fits across the top just fine. You will need to buy a new, shorter cable. You can remove the mount for the old one and zip tie the cable out of sight.
Another thing: you can get a solid plug to fill the hole (just like the other side) from a dealer.

Did this on my 09 street glide when I bought it in May 09. Just traded it off Nov 12 and it was still fine after 3 1/2 riding seasons. However, unlike the dude in the video I just ran mine along the inside of the frame basically horizontal with the ground and not up and under the seat like he did. Had a buddy of mine do the same and he still has his bike with no issues as well.

I did something similar to this on my RG; no issues with it.
