Great looking bike! Your second picture shows that you're understanding picture size. I generally use 500 pixels wide as my size limit so that the picture fits well in the post. You can also insert the picture directly into the message by using a URL tag that references an online hosting service such a PhotoBucket, which is a free image hosting service that makes posting pictures pretty easy. Here's an example of what a 500 pixel image looks like; it's usually large enough to pick up details:
