After adding my dash extension, my dash looked funny. The stock black insert didn't belong on the extended dash with all that chrome so.......

Looks great. That is just a peel and stick part, right? How did you heat up the old sticker to remove it?

Yes, it is a peel and stick piece. My old insert is plastic and the edge stuck up just a touch so I just grabbed it and it peeled right off. As for the glue underneath PITA! I used 3M remover and still had some sore fingers! After dash is clean you must peel the backing of the new insert, that is aluminum I must add. The backing and glue is ultra thin, didn't think there was any at first but use tweezers to grab it. The backing is very sticky so once you set it, it is done. I warmed the dash and insert with a hair dryer like the instructions say and seemed to work great!

The dash extention is from Hotop. Think it is available threw Custom Chrome or any place like J&P. Even seen them on E-bay. Kinda pricy for around 50 bucks. Here is one from Dennis Kirk http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...p;skuId=H40094
Just searched Touring dash extention!
I would consider buying the SG dash tho. They look nice and all one piece. I didn't want to be limited on seats so i went this route. SG dash aroud $200. I paid $50 for the ext. and $65 for the insert.
Here is a pick before the insert and a good look of the extention on the bike. Hope I helped.

That looks great! I put one on my Ultra but I am not really happy with it. Does anyone know where to pick up a chromed dash insert? I saw one guy selling them on ebay but with very limited designs. I would like to get one with flames only. Any input would be appreciated.

Love the insert. I have used a couple of different ones but have never seen this one yet. (Still on the hunt for the perfect one) Could you tell me where you got it from? My whole bike is Willie and this would fit in just perfect.
Thanks,
Paul.

There are several available from J&P. They're made by Pro One and are pretty expensive, about $90. I'm getting rid of the intercom/CB on my ultra dash and replacing it with something aftermarket. Having a hard time with spending $90 on bling.
