Need some help. Ineed to have the front brake lever modified so it will come closer to the grip when used. tried to heat and bend a used lever off an old bike . It broke. Any ideas out there? Bob

More heat. Put one end in a vise. Pick out where you want the bend to be. Start heating slowly. Take your time. You need the heat spread all the way through the lever. When it is practically glowing, put a piece of pipe over the other end of the lever and bend it slowly.

I did heat it, but probably not that hot . will have to get another junk lever to try out. anew brake lever is 55.00 so i sure dont want to ruin my orig. have plenty of time . It is cold in Idaho. Thanks Bob
