75 is my ideal Interstate cruising speed. But I find myself at 80+ a lot to get around people.

Sounds like 75-80 for most. That is where mine kinda settles in and rollls along. Feels good at that speed. Anything above that and the pipes seem to get a lot louder.

POSTED + 5 IS USUALLY GOOD FOR ME. HOWEVER, ON I-10 TOWARDS SAN ANTONE I FIND MYSELF CRUISING ABOUT 85 IF WIND IS OK. BIKE SEEMS TO STROKE ALONG EASILY AT THAT SPEED. JUST HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR MR. SMOKEY....RIDE SAFE

Wow, I am a little surprised by the responses. I like to cruise closer to 90.
about two weeks ago, someone posted an article about wobble and his personal experience handling a wobble. following that post, 70-80. no more 90.......

Speed wobble or shimmy is the spontaneous oscillation of the front wheel(s), or "wobbling" of a vehicle, at a set speed or speed range. The oscillations are due to the latent resonance frequency of the steered wheel of the vehicle and are a complex phenomenon. It can occur with motorcycles, skateboards, bicycles or in theory any vehicle with a single steering pivot point and a sufficient amount of freedom of the steered wheel; this does not include most automobiles, however,coil-sprung vehicles with a track bar setup such as the Jeep WJ, XJ, ZJ, and TJ with after-market suspension lifts may have this problem also. While usually easily remedied by adjusting speed or changing position on vehicle, speed wobbles can be fatal, especially at high speeds.

Just fast enough to stay ahead of the semis, that usually is 75 to 77. Wind and rain makes me a lot slower.

I typically ride at 80 miles per hour as the bike feels best on the road at this speed, I seem to get decent mpg's at this speed too..... somethimes hear in California we are limited on the freeways as there are millions of others who dictate our speed and for safety reasons I stay at the speed that they seem to like instead.
