For the sake of the thread, I am going to assume everyone in here owns at least 1 tourer. So my question is speed limits aside, what is your comfortable highway/interstate speed? In other words, when your ridding forlong adistance, whats thecomfortable speed you get up to andstay at and could leave there all day if legally possible? Me myself, I like to put her at 75 and just roll.Interested in hearing from you all.
I usually ride a couple of miles per hour below the speed limit. I'm usually not in a big hurry to get there, but am riding for the enjoyment, scenery and just taking in the pleasure of riding.
I enjoy 80 + mph here and there, but over the long haul,a steady 75 mph means the reaction time availableincreases if any bad stuff happens.
Maintaining high speed over a sustained period of time means maintaining higher concentration along with it,there's only so long you can keep that sharp.
